Toxic Ingredients, commonly used by the majority of Cosmetic brands on the market!

What's in your cosmetic products?!
Like it or not consumers are still spending billions on cosmetic products full of harmful chemicals that smell good with nice packaging, that's all.
Cosmetic products use of toxic ingredients, commonly used by the majority of Big Brand Names Cosmetic companies on the market...
Don't be fooled when you see products with words like,
  • Without Ammonia, Free of Parabens or Free of Phthalates, etc. BUT, there are a lot more harmful ingredients that are added to your cosmetic products☠️

For Example,
Triclosan
Triclosan is a widely used antimicrobial chemical that’s a known endocrine disruptor – especially thyroid and reproductive hormones, and a skin irritant. Studies raise concerns that triclosan contributes to making bacteria antibiotic-resistant. There also wasn’t enough supporting evidence that washing with antibacterial soaps containing triclosan provides any benefit over washing with regular soap and water. Found in: toothpaste, antibacterial soaps, hand sanitizers, and deodorants.
Parabens
Parabens are widely used in preservatives that prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, and yeast in cosmetic products. Parabens possess estrogen-mimicking properties that are associated with increased risk of breast cancer. These chemicals are absorbed through the skin and have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors. They can be found in makeup, body washes, deodorants, shampoos and facial cleansers. You can also find them in food and pharmaceutical products.
Synthetic Colors
FD&C or D&C (F – Food / D&C – Drug and Cosmetics) example: D&C Red 27 or FD&C Blue 1 These synthetic colors are derived from petroleum or coal tar sources. Synthetic colors are suspected to be a human carcinogen, a skin irritant, and are linked to ADHD in children. The European Classification and Labeling consider it a human carcinogen and the European Union has banned it.
Fragrance
A catchall for hidden chemicals, such as phthalates. This term was created to protect a company’s “secret formula.” According to the EWG Skin Deep Database, fragrance mixes have been associated with allergies, dermatitis, respiratory distress and potential effects on the reproductive system. It can be found in many products such as perfume, cologne, conditioner, shampoo, body wash, and moisturizers.
Phthalates
Plasticizers banned in the EU and California in children’s toys but present in many body care products. Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in hundreds of products to increase the flexibility and softness of plastics. Common phthalates: dibutyl (nail polish), diethyl phthalate (perfumes & lotions), dimethyl phthalate (hairspray). They are known to be endocrine disruptors and have been linked to increased risk of breast cancer, early breast development in girls, and reproductive birth defects in males and females. Also linked to liver, kidney, and lunch damage. Disclosure Loophole: phthalates are not always disclosed in a product when in the secret formula of “fragrance”
Formaldehyde
Banned in the EU. Formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing preservatives (FRP’s) preservatives are used in many cosmetic products to help prevent bacteria growth. This chemical was deemed as a human carcinogen by The International Agency for Research on Carcinogens (IARC) and has been linked to occupationally related cancers: nasal and nasopharyngeal. It is known to cause allergic skin reactions and it may also be harmful to the immune system. Found in: nail polish, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, cleansers, eyeshadows, nail polish
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
Formerly an industrial degreaser, now used to make soap foamy. A surfactant that can be found in more than 90% of personal care and cleaning products. SLS’s are known to be skin, lung, and eye irritants. Has the potential to interact and combine with other chemicals to form nitrosamines, a carcinogen. These combinations can lead to a host of other issues like kidney and respiratory damage. Found in: Shampoo, body wash, mascara, acne treatment…….
Propylene Glycol
This is a small organic alcohol commonly used as a skin-conditioning agent. It’s classified as a skin irritant and penetrator. It has been associated with causing dermatitis as well as hives in humans – these sensitization effects can be manifested in propylene glycol concentrations as low as 2%. Found in moisturizers, sunscreen, makeup products, conditioners, shampoo and hair sprays.
Sunscreen Chemicals
These chemicals function as a sunscreen agent, to absorb ultraviolet light. These chemicals are endocrine disruptors and are believed to be easily absorbed into the body. They may also cause cellular damage and cancer in the body. Common names are benzophenone, PABA, avobenzone, homosalate, and methoxycinnamate. They can be found in sunscreen products.
Toluene
A petrochemical derived from petroleum or coal tar sources. You may see it on labels listed as benzene, toluol, phenylmethane, methylbenzene. Toluene is a potent solvent able to dissolve paint and paint thinner. It can affect your respiratory system, cause nausea and irritate your skin. Expecting mothers should avoid exposure to toluene vapors as it may cause developmental damage in the fetus. Toluene has also been linked to immune system toxicity. Found in nail polish, nail treatments, and hair color/bleaching products.
Coal Tar
Banned in the EU. Known human carcinogen derived from burning coal. It is a mixture of hundreds of compounds. Used in dry skin treatments, anti-lice, and anti-dandruff shampoos. It is also listed as a color plus number, i.e. FD&C No. 6. Coal tar is a skin irritant and a respiratory toxicant.
DEA/TEA/MEA
DEA (diethanolamine) TEA (triethanolamine) and MEA (monoethanolamine) are ethanolamines. These are ammonia compounds used in cosmetics as emulsifiers or foaming agents. The sincerest concern about these ingredients is that they may increase the risk for cancer, especially with repeated and prolonged use. The World Health Organization lists it as an unclassified carcinogen. FDA animal studies note a link with cancer. Prolonged exposure can result in liver, kidney or nervous system injury.
Ethoxylated Surfactants and 1,4-dioxane
This is never listed as an ingredient because it is a by-product made from adding carcinogenic ethylene oxide to make other chemicals less harsh. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has found 1,4-dioxane in 57% of baby washes in the U.S. 1,4-dioxane is a carcinogen linked to organ (liver and kidney) toxicity. It is found in as many as 22% of the cosmetic products on EWG Skin Deep Database.
Mercury
A known allergen that impairs brain development. Found in mascara and some eyedrops. Mercury is also used in thermometers, barometers, float valves, and fluorescent lights. Elevated exposure can harm the nervous system and the brain. Listed in eye area cosmetics as thimerosal or mercuric.
Mineral Oil
Mineral oil is made from petroleum – as a by-product of the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline. It comes in different grades: Technical grade (used to lubricate engines) in which form it is a known human carcinogen, Cosmetic Grade is used in many lotions, creams, and ointments (including products for infants) – this grade provides no benefit to the skin and can clog pores, impairing the skin’s ability to release toxins. Even the highest level of Pharmaceutical Grade can still clog pores.
Oxybenzone
An active ingredient in chemical sunscreens. Research has shown that it is absorbed by the skin and stays in our bodies for an unknown amount of time. It accumulates in fatty tissues and is linked to allergies, hormone disruption, cellular damage, low birth weight.
Placental Extract
Used in some skin and hair products, but linked to endocrine disruption. More studies are needed to determine possible damages to using placental extract.
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
PEG is a class of ethylene glycol polymers that moisturize, keep products stable, and enhance the penetration of other ingredients, both good and bad. PEGs are mild irritants, but it’s the other more harmful chemicals that PEGs help funnel into the system that makes it dangerous. PEGs are often contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane.
Talc
Similar to asbestos in composition, talc is found in baby powder, eyeshadow, blush, deodorant, and other body care and cosmetics products. Women are advised not to use it around their genital areas as it has been linked to ovarian cancer. Another danger is inhalation, particularly in baby powder that used even by Johnson and Johnson until this day.
Silicone-Derived Emollients
When applied to the skin, they create a softening, smooth effect. It does this by creating a barrier on the skin. This can prevent the skin from breathing. The product is not biodegradable and has been linked to skin irritation and tumor growth.
Lead
This is a known carcinogen that can be found n lipstick and hair dye. It is never listed because it is a contaminant, not an ingredient. Exposure to lead has been liked to: neurotoxicity, reduced fertility, hormonal and menstrual irregularities, and delayed onset of puberty in girls and the development of testes in boys.
Book Ref: Over The Counter Natural Cures
Methylparaben. Ethylparaben. Propylparaben. Butylparaben. Even in the smallest amounts, like 1 part per trillion, parabens shift metabolism and elicit key changes in brain structure and function. For example, these toxins can cause teenage girls to grow into adulthood faster than usual. For the rest of us, parabens just help us age really fast. Ironically, parabens are common ingredients in antiwrinkle creams and lotions! Few cosmetic companies recognize that parabens accelerate aging or can even act like estrogen imposters to elicit breast cancer.
Besides using harmful chemical in cosmetic products, what other ingredients ages you faster?
Stop age Spots
The Cheep White Sugar sold on the market today isn’t always what you think it is. Most sugar has been replaced with a sweet impostor. Known as high fructose corn syrup, or HFCS, this synthetic sweetener masquerades as being natural and healthy. But a chemical reaction discovered in 1914 proves otherwise. Every time you consume the “corn syrup,” it acts as wrinkle fertilizer, courtesy of an icky process known as glycation. Discovered by the French chemist Louis Camille Maillard, glycation is the process by which sugars like HFCS bind to amino acids in the bloodstream and become advanced glycation end (AGE) products. This class of toxins has been linked to inflammation, insulin resistance, diabetes, vascular and kidney disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

WASTE PRODUCTS DUMPED INTO CITY WATER SUPPLY

Since 1945, fluoride (as sodium fluoride or silicofluoride) has been added—about 1 part per million (milligrams/liter)—to our municipal water supply. Most of the fluoride comes from recovered waste products of the phosphate fertilizer and aluminum industries. Sound yummy? Despite what we’ve been told, there aren’t any health benefits to consuming waste products—quite the contrary. Avoid filthy fluoride by filtering your tap water.
Remember: "Fluorides & Chlorine produces 10,000 free radicals per each water molecule"☠️

TRIHALOMETHANES

Fluoride isn’t the only chemical added to drinking water. Chlorine is, too. Mass chlorination of municipal water protects us from bacteria, parasites, and viruses. But the practice gives rise to a new risk: THM exposure. THM stands for trihalomethanes, which are chemical by-products of chlorination.

Hair Spray Book Ref;

It’s a handy and effective fix to stop a run in your stocking or to get rid of static cling. But don’t use hair spray to set your makeup. The same ingredients that make the hair stick also can dry out your skin or trigger an allergic reaction. A makeup setting spray is a better choice.

Hydrogen Peroxide

It’s a popular zit fighter because it kills bacteria living on your face. But hydrogen peroxide can damage your own skin cells, including fibroblasts that help make new tissue and heal wounds. Also, avoid it for cleaning cuts and scrapes. Use soap and water instead. Hydrogen peroxide might irritate your already fragile skin.

Witch Hazel

This plant is a common natural remedy to treat acne, tighten pores, and fight greasiness. Witch hazel acts as an astringent, a type of chemical that causes your skin tissue to contract. But toners that contain witch hazel can strip all the natural oils from your skin. That might lead to irritation, dryness, and even allergic reactions.
Hydrocortisone Cream
This medication is a balm for red, itchy, swollen skin. So you might be tempted to smear it on if you have rosacea or similar conditions. But this type of steroid cream thins the skin, so the blood vessels on your face are more likely to burst. It also can force your oil glands to go into overdrive, leading to what’s called “steroid acne.”

Honey

This sweet stuff has been used to treat wounds since ancient times. Today, some folks dab it on to banish acne. Honey helps to keep germs at bay and lessens inflammation. But it probably doesn’t do much. One study found that honey worked no better than antibacterial soap. If you still want to try it, look for manuka honey that has a minimum rating of 10 UMF to ensure it has enough germ-fighting power.

Urine

Devotees swear by their pee as the secret to smooth, unclogged skin. Urine is made up of mostly water and a compound called urea. Many creams and potions include a lab-made form of urea because it binds to moisture in the air and draws it to the skin. But your pee probably doesn’t contain enough of it to matter. Plus, it’s just gross😝😖
And the bigger the celebrity, the worse it gets!
Even Paris Hilton sell & promote cosmetic products that contains harmful ingredients, but she goes even further, Paris Hilton promotes oral supplement products called R3SET that contain harmful ingredients such as TALC which is connected to ovarian cancer ☠️
